The Country Cares for St. Jude Kids® radiothon program is one of the hospital's most recognizable fund-raising programs, reaching more than 15 million listeners in 46 states across America through two-day radiothons implemented year-round. More than 100 country music artists support the program along with more than 200 radio stations. Each year, the Country Cares program garners media attention on both the national and local level with upwards of 100 million audience impressions through magazine editorials, newspaper articles, and television coverage. Since its inception in 1989, the program has raised over $385 million in pledges for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Sponsorship of the Country Cares program provides brand marketing and product sampling opportunities to target a variety of audiences. Sponsorship opportunities are created through the national radiothon program, on a local level, and by presence at the Country Cares Seminar. In-kind product donation and cash sponsorships are available.
Country Cares launches each year with the Country Cares Seminar, the second largest gathering of country music professionals outside the Country Radio Seminar held in Nashville each year. The Seminar brings close to 1,000 professionals including country music artists such as Faith Hill, Randy Owen of the group ALABAMA, Clint Black, Lonestar, Keith Urban and Martina McBride. Record label management, radio station general managers, promotions staff, national sales managers, program directors, and on-air staff from around the country also participate in the training seminar.
